As you may have heard, the Government wants to introduce certain changes in the way the National Health Service is run and in particular to give more power to local GP-based groups to commission the right services for patients. In particular they want to ensure that patients are more involved in decisions about the range and quality of services provided by their GP surgery and over time commissioned by the practice as well.
